Airborne

Back in 1996 we enjoyed a trip throu Normandy. In the little village of St-Mere-Eglise we visited the Airborne Museum. Just to satisfy hubby's passion for planes, and to learn more about the D-day

Mercedes Benz Museum

Last year, while in Stuttgart we visited the Mercedes-Benz Museum.
I'm not that into cars, but I have to admit the experience was worth it. First of all the museum spaces and architecture are themselves worth the entrance fee

Every floor and every room has a specific subject in a specific time, along the paths some billboards explain what were the world events of the time, and the audio guide is very precise and complete. Highly recommended.

Diamant Museum - Bruges

0-1311-858.jpg picture by GraTosi In 2001 we visited Belgium. I've been always fascinated by the Flanders' culture and traditions, so finally we were there. We had a great time and we met very nice people. I personally enjoyed Bruges very much.
While there we took a look at the diamonds cutting history, and the best place to do it is the Diamant Museum.

Louvre Museum - Paris

I've been in Paris many times, I have a friend living there, so it's a usual thing go there to see each other. Obviously, the Museum of the Louvre is a must while you're there.

paris3.jpg picture by GraTosi

I like it so very much for the atmosphere you can feel walking through its rooms, never too crowded even if it's one of the most visited place in the world!

The sections I like the most are the one dedicated to the ancient Egypt and the one collecting near eastern antiques

And there are masterpieces you can't avoid to see, after all they are the reason the Museum is so famous!

and the most famous of all......

I hope to come back again, each time I find something new, and new emotions are there to be lived.

The Jewels of the Crown - London

A must-to-be-seen in London is the big safe in the Tower where all the jewels of the english monarchy are exhibited. We truly enjoyed the visit, even if so much gold and diamonds are a treat for the eyes (and not thinking about how many medical care all that richness could provide).

Egyptian Museum - Turin

top_1.jpg picture by GraTosimuseo_egizio_entrata.jpg picture by GraTosi

I was there with Marty some years ago, when her school decided to visit it, and invited the parents too. I've always been passionate about Egypt and its culture, so I happily said yes!
It was an interesting visit (the Turin museum is the second one in the world, after the one in Cairo, about Egypt), our guide was very professional, and I learnt a lot about this ancient culture.

Each one of us has a dream, well closed in the heart. Mine is to be there, one day, and see with my own eyes what's left of this magic and ancient culture, the pyramids, the temples, and to breath the same air.

Flying Army

You know, I'm married to this planes' mad fanatic, so when traveling around, I'm sure we'll end up in some flight museum. It was exactly like this back in 2004 when we wandered around in south England. By chance we found ourselves lost in the middle of nowhere, at a thiny place called Middle Wallop and while I was looking at some very green landscapes, hubby found a sign on the road advertising The Army Flying Museum

army1.jpg picture by GraTosi

Now, don't ask me for the name or the date or the use of what we saw, just look at the pics to get an idea, just in case you would drop by this part of England countryside
